My Networkby Khalil Labs

What this site sends

Short version: no account, no cookies, no ads, no tracking. We don't store your results; your address is kept for one minute only if you run the outside check. Cloudflare runs the speed test and keeps the test results for its own statistics.

Who your browser talks to

  1. This website (mynetwork.khalillabs.com, hosted on Cloudflare Pages). It sends you the page, and when you run a check it tells you your public address and internet provider. That answer goes to you only; we don't save or log it. Cloudflare, as the host, handles the requests like any website host does.
  2. The "Is your home open to the internet?" check, only if you ask for it and confirm. Our server tries to connect to 12 common ports on the public address your browser came from (never an address you type), once each. To stop repeated checks, that address is kept in Cloudflare's cache for one minute, then deleted. The result goes to you only.
  3. Cloudflare's speed-test network (speed.cloudflare.com). Your browser downloads and uploads test data there to measure speed, delay and lag. When the test finishes, the speed-test engine sends the measurements to Cloudflare, which keeps them to build overall statistics about internet quality. See Cloudflare's own privacy policy for how they handle it.

Nothing else: no analytics, no fonts or scripts from other sites.

What stays on your device

What this site can't see

Your Wi-Fi signal, your Wi-Fi name, or the devices in your home. Browsers don't let websites look inside your network, and that's a good thing.

Data use

A check uses test data from your connection: up to ~150 MB on very fast connections, much less on slower ones. On a capped mobile plan, keep that in mind.
